THE SKYLARK

Built by Paul Gartside, Sidney, British Columbia

This superb example of the finest in wooden boat building is also a modern equivalent of the Swallow, with some refinements such as a centerboard, and also mast placement farther forward to counter windward helm without needing a jib. The appearance & layout, hull form, and rig are very close to the original Swallow, though the quality of work and finish are probably much better. Photos courtesy of John Kohnen.
